Jessica Barnes joined CarterPierce in 2022. She supports CarterPierce all the way from Okinawa, Japan. In 2021, she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Jessica’s prior work experience includes billing for a million-dollar retina practice, accounts payable, and payroll. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, running, and exploring Japan.
Nick Davis joined CarterPierce in 2025 and brings a diverse background to Executive Search. Prior to joining CarterPierce, he served as the Managing Director of a Phoenix-based boutique search firm focused on Accounting and Finance leadership. Nick has led searches for CFO, CAO, VP of Finance, Controller, and middle management across Private Equity-backed, founder-led, and publicly traded companies. He holds a BA in Kinesiology from Arizona State University and a Master of Medical Science from Midwestern University.
Kelsey Duncan joined CarterPierce in 2021. She supports CarterPierce all the way from Okinawa, Japan. She will be graduating from American Military University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science in 2022. Prior to CarterPierce, Kelsey held her Certified Nurse’s Assistant Certificate where she did clinicals in Valdosta, Georgia. Beyond CarterPierce, Kelsey has a passion for hiking and adventuring.
Claudia Fernandez joined CarterPierce in 2025. Prior to that, she worked for Guidepoint, an expert network firm, where she focused on sourcing and vetting consultants for Private Equity firms. Claudia graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Political Science and minor in Italian where she also volunteered for organizations helping to create safe spaces for teens in emotional distress.
Lauren joined CarterPierce in 2022. Prior to joining CarterPierce, Lauren worked for Target Corporation as an Executive Team Leader responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of 85 associates focused on ensuring exceptional customer relations. Originally from Saint Paul, MN, Lauren graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Economics.
Caleb Kramer is a board member of CarterPierce. Caleb spent 23 years at Oaktree Capital Management, five years in Los Angeles and 18 years in London. In London, Caleb was the founder and portfolio manager of four different strategies and raised over €13 billion in capital in 11 different funds. Prior to Oaktree, Caleb cofounded his own investment firm, worked in private equity and venture capital, and started his career at Merrill Lynch in investment banking. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
Stacy joined CarterPierce in 2024 to lead the firm’s New York office. She brings 20 years of experience in Executive Search. Prior to joining CarterPierce, Stacy was a Partner at Amity Search Partners where she placed candidates of all levels across various private equity and hedge fund strategies throughout North America. She started her recruiting career at SG Partners where she focused on pre-MBA buyside recruiting. Before working in Executive Search, Stacy was a teacher and athletic coach at Greenwich Academy and The Waterside School. Stacy holds a BA in Spanish Literature from The George Washington University and a Master’s in Education from Manhattanville College.
Stacey joined CarterPierce in 2018 and brings over 10 years of experience in Client Relations and Recruiting. She started her career at Caesars Entertainment where she managed a large book of high-net-worth clients. She transitioned into recruiting where she helped Venture backed startups scale their operational and engineering teams. Stacey earned her Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University where she graduated Cum Laude.
Caroline McCormack joined CarterPierce in 2025. Prior to joining, she worked on the Human Capital team at Centerbridge Partners, where she was responsible for coordinating candidate interviews for roles ranging from early career to senior-level positions. Caroline’s early education experience included on campus information sessions, interviews, training programs and the full lifecycle of Associate recruiting. Caroline holds a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Aileen McKhann joined CarterPierce in 2016. She graduated with a B.A. in Sociology, a Minor in Education, and a certificate in Markets & Management Studies from Duke University. While at Duke, Aileen played on the Varsity Field Hockey team and appeared in two Final Fours and one National Championship game.
Amanda joined CarterPierce in 2024. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Journalism. While at Berkeley, she was captain of the Women's Lacrosse team and earned Pac-12 Conference honors and the Golden Bear Award.
Sarah joined CarterPierce in 2024. She graduated with a BA in Communications from Florida International University and recently received an MBA from Lipscomb University. During her college career, Sarah competed in Division 1 Volleyball at both FIU and Lipscomb.
Adam Pierce, a 20-year investment professional who has invested nearly $2 billion in over 40 transactions across multiple industries. Prior to founding Tenkara in 2020, Mr. Pierce was a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management where he served as a senior investment professional and member of the investment committee in the Special Situations and Global Principal Opportunities group.
Prior to joining Oaktree in 2003, Mr. Pierce worked for J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Pierce received a B.A. in economics with a focus on business administration from Vanderbilt University.
Jill Pierce founded CarterPierce in 2005. Prior to founding CarterPierce, Jill was a Recruiter for Spencer Stuart where she was responsible for placing senior executives into top caliber firms in the Media and Entertainment Group. Jill started her recruiting career at SG Partners, staffing pre-MBA candidates into private equity fund and hedge fund positions. Jill graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.
Jenn Savory joined CarterPierce in 2025, bringing over seven years of Executive Search experience, with a focus on Finance, Accounting, and corporate leadership roles. She has partnered with clients across a range of industries to recruit high-impact leaders. Prior to entering Executive Recruiting, Jenn spent 10 years running leadership offsites for corporations and YPO. She holds a BA in Psychology from Arizona State University.
Maddy Stover joined CarterPierce in 2020. Previously, she worked in Corporate Sponsorships for the Anaheim Angels. Maddy graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Communication and Minor in Psychology. While at Utah, she was Team Captain of the Women’s Gymnastics Team, where she won two Pac 12 Championships, appeared in four consecutive NCAA Championships and became an NCAA All-American on the balance beam.
Shelee brings over 20 years of Accounting and Finance experience to the CarterPierce team. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a BS degree in Accounting, Shelee spent the first three years of her career at Deloitte in their Audit practice. She went on to work for well-known companies including Dial, Fender, and Fox Restaurant Concepts, with varying roles of increasing responsibility from Analyst to Controller to VP of Finance. Shelee spent the last five years as CFO for a growing automotive dealership, Auto House.
Emily Tober is the Head of Corporate Recruiting, with over 15 years of experience as a corporate and professional recruiter. Prior to joining CarterPierce, Emily was the Managing Director of ETONIEN, a finance and accounting consulting firm where she placed CFOs, VPs of Finance and Corporate Controllers into primarily Private Equity portfolios, but also privately held organizations and publicly traded companies. Previously, Emily was the Director of Recruitment at Elite Placement Group, where she placed highly qualified administrative professionals within Private Equity firms, Investment Banks, and other large corporations in the financial services, entertainment and professional services industries. Emily began her recruiting career with a Fortune 500 company—the world’s largest and most specialized staffing company.
Emily graduated from Vanderbilt University majoring in Human and Organizational Development where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Jane joined CarterPierce in 2024. Previously, she was a Senior Recruiter responsible for full cycle recruitment and talent management at a recruiting firm in Nashville. Jane received a B.A. in Business Economics from Wheaton College in Illinois, where she was the Team Captain of the Women’s Basketball Team.
Maire Camille Volkmann joined CarterPierce in 2007 and is a Partner. She has spent the entirety of her career recruiting pre-MBA and post-MBA professionals into investing roles at private equity funds and hedge funds. Maire Camille received a B.A. in French and a B.A. in Psychology from the Honors College at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
